Looking at the Stampin’ Up catalog or website can be overwhelming. If you are just starting out, here are tips on Purchasing Basic Supplies:
- Stamps – Stamps are pretty basic, but there are so many offered by Stampin’ Up it can be intimidating. I suggest you pick out your favorite image stamp set and/or a stamp set that has versatile sentiments. I find the Biggest Wish stamp set very versatile.
- Paper – Decide if you want to start out plain or colorful, basic or preprinted when it comes to paper & cardstock. White cardstock is a good place to begin. If you want colored cardstock, I suggest you begin with one of the assorted packs You may even prefer to use some DSP (designer series paper) and follow the One Sheet Wonder directions.
- Ink – The ink pad you will use the most is Memento, a general purpose ink. If you want a number of colors but are not ready to purchase them all, start small and get the Classic Assortment ink spots.
