This month’s theme is Fun-Fold Card of Choice, which gave me the perfect excuse to play with one of my all-time favorites—an Explosion Card. If you’ve never made one before, they’re such a fun surprise because you open the card to reveal panels of color, images, and sweet details.

For my card, I reached for the absolutely adorable Cute as a Bug Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up. I fussy-cut several of the bug images to decorate the front of the card & the inside panels. I layered the card with Secret Sea and Cloud Cover Cardstock for a crisp, playful color combo. To tie everything together, I added sentiments from the Sweet Bugs stamp set—because really, bugs this cute deserve equally cute words!

Explosion cards are perfect when you want to:

• Showcase lots of pattern and images
• Add interactive elements
• Create a “wow” moment when the card is opened
