Product Highlight – Fancy Flora

During my Facebook Live on January 15, 2023, I highlighted Stampin’ Up’s Fancy Flora Suite bundle found on p. 14-15 of the January-April 2023 Mini Stampin’ Up catalog. This suite has a variety of colors & has so many possibilities!

On the first card, I used the largest die from the Two-Tone dies and a sheet of the Fancy Flora DSP cut to 4 ¼” x 5 ½” with a piece of Adhesive Sheet cut to the same size stuck to the back. After running this thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I gently removed the backing and adhered it to the front of a 5 ½” x 8 ½” (folded in half) thick white cardstock base. The banner for the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamps set was stamped on the piece cut off of the DSP then die cut using the middle size squarish die from the Something Fancy dies. Dimensionals were used to adhere the banner to the front of the card. A bow made with the Pool Party ribbon and Iridescent Pastel Gems were added to the front. The inside was stamped in Orchid Oasis ink with a sentiment from Something Fancy stamp set and a 4 ¼” x ½” strip of the cut-up DSP was attached to the bottom.

On the second card, I started with a 5 ½” x 8 ½” (folded in half) Calypso Coral cardstock base. Using the largest Scalloped Contours die & the largest ovalish die from the Something Fancy die I cut a piece of the Gold Fine Shimmer paper; the banner piece was cut out of the middle of the larger piece at the same time to conserve this wonderful paper (besides, it’s underneath so no one will see it 😉). A 3 5/16″ x 4 5/8″ piece of DSP was adhered over the gold die cut then adhered to the front of the card using Stampin’ Seal. Again, the banner for the sentiment from the Something Fancy stamps set was stamped on the piece cut off of the DSP then die cut using the middle size ovalish die from the Something Fancy dies. The sentiment banner was adhered to the gold banner with Stampin’ Seal then adhered to the font of the card with dimensionals. Iridescent Pastel Gems in Calypso Coral were added to the front of the card. The inside is a 3 ½” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock stamped with a sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set and adhered to the inside of the card (leave a ¾” gap on the bottom). From a piece of the scrap from the DSP used on the front, a decorative piece was cut using the scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours die set and adhered to the bottom of the inside.

Before I began to make this card, I took the Stampin’ Up Masking Paper and stamped 3 of the flowers from the Two-Tone Flora stamp set in Memento. I used the corresponding dies to cut them out.

For the Third card on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock, I stamped 3 of the flowers randomly in Tahitian Tide, then the second step/stamp in Starry Sky. I masked those and stamped more of those flowers randomly not overlapping each other unless it was over the masking. I also stamped leaves from the set in Granny Apple Green making sure I did not stamp over anything unless masked. I took the Tahitian Tide Light Stampin’ Blend marker and filled in any gaps the masking left behind and a few random Daffodil Delight dots in the white areas. I adhered the stamped cardstock to the front of a 5 ½” x 8 ½” (folded in half) piece of Starry Sky cardstock. The sentiment was stamped on a ½” scrap of white cardstock and trimmed, then adhered to the front of the card with mini dimensionals & embellished with the Iridescent Pastel Gems. A sentiment from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped on a 4” x 5 ¼” piece of white cardstock in Granny Apple Green and one of the 2-step flowers was stamped in the corner. The cardstock was adhered to the inside of the card.
