Welcome to “Lakeside Retreat”, the April 2026 Paper Pumpkin kit Blog Hop. This month’s kit made 9 cards, 3 of each of the 3 designs.
Using the following items from the kit:
- Wood Card base
- Pecan Pie circle & Cabin Circle
- 2 Oar cut outs
- Peaceful Pine Ink Spot
- Mini Dimensionals
- Stamp set
- Embellishments
Using the following items from my stash:
- Basic Gray Cardstock: 4 ¼” x 11”, scored at 2 ¾” & 5 ½”
- Lost Lagoon Cardstock: 4 ¹⁄₁₆” x 5 ⁵⁄₁₆”
- White Cardstock: 4” x 5 ¼”
- Pecan Pie Cardstock: 2 ½” x 3 ¼”
- Add-On Dies
- Multipurpose Glue
- Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder
Start with one of the Wood Card base halves, cut in half, then cut 1 ⅝” off one of the pieces & cut 1 ⅝” (save both 1 ⅝” pieces). Stamp “Happy Birthday” and “Son” on the 1 ⅝” x 1 ⅝” piece with the Peaceful Pine Ink Spot.
Die cut the sign from the Add-On dies using the 2 ½” x 3 ¼” Pecan Pie piece. Using the Multipurpose Glue, carefully adhere the stamped piece to the back of the sign die-cut.
Emboss the Lost Lagoon cardstock with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing folder, then adhere Pecan Pie circle & Cabin circle evenly on the top section. Adhere the bottom section of this assembly to the bottom 4 ¼” x 2 ¾” section of the card base.
Using Mini Dimensionals, adhere sign to the bottom left of the card, may need to trim off ¼” sign post.
Adhere White cardstock to the inside bottom of the card. Adhere 2 oar cut outs to the 2 ⅝” x 1 ⅝” Wood card base piece, then adhere to the middle of the whit cardstock using dimensionals.
