The Christmas in July Blog Hop this year was a bit tricky for me. I own 1 stamp set that is Christmasy…
July actually reminds me of summer fun, so Christmas is the furthest thing from my mind. If we actually celebrated Christmas this month, we would be vacationing, barbequing, swimming…just enjoying the nice weather.
So where to start… I started with a summer activity and altered it to become Christmas. There are parts of the world that celebrate Christmas in warm weather!
This card was created using the Sunrise Sailing bundle & the Jar of Joy stamp set…that was the easy part! Trying to figure out how to make it a Christmas card was the hard part. I scoured the Stampin’ Up website to figure out was current to use on my card. It needed some sort of wreath, but I couldn’t find one, so I improvised. The wreath is actual the little enforcer from the Perennial Postage die set. I also wanted a bit more evergreen so again, I scoured the Stampin’ Up website to see what I could use. The tree in the stern of the sailboat if from the Scenic Adventure dies.

The front of the card is White cardstock and I used Blueberry Bushel & Lost Lagoon inks and a masking paper to create the background.
Both the front & inside of the cards has a piece of Poppy Parade cardstock behind it with a Lost Lagoon card base.
The sentiments was another conundrum… I have the one Christmas stamp set, but the sentiments didn’t quite meld with the card. So, I broke it up and stamped just the wording that fit the card! They were both stamped with Lost Lagoon & Poppy Parade ink & the front banner is the 3rd smallest die from the Party Banners dies.
The card was finished off with white twine colored with Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Marker & the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries.

A nice card to send to people on the water.
I like the different way you can use this stamp
