What do you give the dad who has everything… and loves a good Post-It Note?
This year’s Father’s Day card is extra special. I created an easel-style card with a cozy Scottish cottage scene that instantly reminded me of my Nana’s childhood stories from the Highlands. My dad—who’s 92 and still sharp as a tack—grew up hearing about those same stories too. So when I saw the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper, I knew exactly what I wanted to make. I paired it with a die cut from Textured Notes, stamps from He’s the Greatest (Dad & Papa), and added a little extra love from Trusty Tools for the “Happy Father’s Day” sentiment.
But the best part? I included a Post-It Note pad inside the card—something practical he can keep on his desk to jot down his thoughts. It’s a little touch of nostalgia, mixed with a whole lot of love and functionality.
Want to try making an easel card like this? Grab your favorite Designer Series Paper and add something meaningful—like a nod to your family’s heritage or a practical twist. Trust me, it’s a win. Let me know if you’d love the measurements or a quick how-to!
