This month’s Mother’s Day Blog Hop card was made for my lovely mother-in-law. My mom has been gone for almost 10 years, so this is a difficult day for me.
I wanted something a little different for my Blog Hop card, perhaps something that popped. I settled on this Pop-Up Slider card, something I did for one of my Mystery Card Classes last fall.
Between the 2023-2024 Annual Stampin’ Up catalog and the January-April 2024 Mini catalog both coming to an end and the 2024-2025 Annual catalog not beginning until May 1st, I spent a lot of time figuring out what I had on hand that was carrying over.
When the Perennial Lavender suite came out, I instantly fell in love with it! Thankfully, the Designer Series Paper, stamp set & die set are all carrying over.
The tricky part of making this card is to carefully put all the pieces together so the pop-up slides smoothly and evenly. I used Tear & Tape to ensure this happened.
I have made this card with many different center pieces. This on was made by stamping on a white piece of cardstock then cutting it out with the second to largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies. The largest die from this set was cut out with Berry Burst cardstock.
The window piece is best stamped after assembly, otherwise you take the chance of the stamping being underneath the Designer Series Paper,
The inside of the card is a bit plain, but I wanted room to write a nice note to my mother-in-law.
I added a strip of the Designer Series Paper I used on the front of the card.
“Happy Mother’s Day” from the Stippled Rose stamp set was used in Highland Heather.
