Valentine’s Blog Hop – Team Stamp It

The Valentine’s Blog Hop for Team Stamp It had me at a bit of a standstill. I have been prepping for multiple Valentine card classes, so I was tired of making Valentine cards.

Valentine's Blog Hop outline pillow box form onto Designer Series Paper

The Square Pillow Boxes came when I ordered the Bee Mine Suite, but I never used them. However, the white box was a bit stark & plain. Due to the shiny surface, I did not want to stamp on it.

I took the flat Pillow Box and traced it on the back side of the Pecan Pie sheet of the Flight & Airy DSP (a Designer Series Paper pack available for free during Stampin’ Up’s Sale-a-bration now through February 29, 2024). Then I used my Snips to cut out the form. After I cut it out, I used my Bone Folder to lightly score the creases by following the indentations.

The cut out DSP was then adhered to the box with Multipurpose glue (glue was used so that it covered more area, and it could be moved around a bit to get it into the correct spot).

The creases were then gently folded to form the Square Pillow Box. The right & left sides were then adhered with the multipurpose glue, leaving the 1 end open to add a gift or goodies.

Using the die from Something Fancy, I cut out a tag in Petal Pink. Then using the Bee Builder Punch, hearts were punched out in Flirty Flamingo. “Happy Valentine’s Day” was stamped in Flirty Flamingo and 3 small, punched hearts were adhered on the tag.

I cut a 15″ piece of the Pecan Pie center stripe ribbon and tied a bow in the middle. I ran one side of the ribbon through the tag, wrapped it around the 2 adhered sides and adhered it into place.

2 of the larger punched hearts were adhered to each end of the box for added decoration before it was filled with candy kisses.

For a little bling, I painted the small hearts on the tag with Wink of Stella.
