Summer always brings thoughts of sunshine, salty air, and one of my favorite beach activities—searching for sea glass along the shoreline. There’s something exciting about finding those colorful treasures hidden among the sand and shells. That special summer memory inspired today’s card.
For this project, I combined the Sunset Coast Dies with the Rolling Waves Stamps & Dies to create a peaceful seaside scene. My favorite detail is the sea glass scattered along the beach. Instead of discarding the leftover netting pieces from the Sunset Coast Dies, I gave them a second life! I colored the die-cut scraps to resemble authentic sea glass and tucked them along the shoreline.
The seashells and waves were die cut using the Rolling Waves Dies, while the shoreline was created from Crumb Cake cardstock. To give the beach a more natural look, I used a blending brush with Pecan Pie Ink and added ink splatter for extra texture and dimension.
Of course, no sunny beach scene would be complete without a little sparkle! I added Wink of Stella and Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Brush to both the sand and water, creating the look of sunlight dancing across the waves and glistening on the shore.
I love how this card captures the feeling of a relaxing summer day by the ocean and reminds me of the treasures waiting to be discovered along the beach.
