Halloween – Stamp It Blog Hop

Halloween & Fall theme Stamp It group blog hop banner

For the Halloween Stamp It Blog Hop, I used what I had on hand. Creativity needed to be tapped into because I did not have any Halloween stamp sets.

Halloween card front saying "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" using the Biggest Wish & More Wishes stamp sets by Stampin' Up.

When I saw the new More Wishes stamp set in the September-December 2023 Mini Stampin’ Up catalog, I was thrilled. I already used the Biggest Wish stamp set quite a bit.

I started with a 3 ½” x 2 ½” piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment. To make the sentiment, I used “HAPPY”, “HA” & “LLO” from the Biggest Wish set, the “W’, “E” “E” & “N” from “NEW” in the More Wishes set. I used masking paper to cover the letters I was NOT stamping and inked up the letters I did with sponge daubers (make sure you remove the masking paper before stamping & clean stamps between reinking). Cut with Deckled Rectangle die.

The card front was run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder.

The rest of the card front is a 4″ x 3″ piece of Gorgeous Grape & a 5” x 3 ¾” Pumpkin Pie DSP from the Stargazing DSP cut with the Deckled Rectangle dies. Wrap black twine 3 times around the piece of Pumpkin Pie DSP and adhere with Stampin’ Seal at an angle on the card front, then adhere Gorgeous Grape piece at the other angle using black dimensionals. Adhere the banner at the opposite angle on the Gorgeous Grape with Stampin’ Seal.

The moon was made by stamping a piece of white cardstock with Crushed Curry and a textured stamp of choice and cut with the Reach for the Stars dies. I used the seagull stamp from Waves of Inspiration as bats on the moon. The moon was adhered with black dimensionals.

inside pop-up of spider and web

Since I didn’t have a spider web, I used the maple leaf vein stamp from the Autumn Leaves stamp set and use my black Stampin’ Write marker to fill in the rest. The spider is from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set then fussy cut out,

inside card "BOO" stamped 3 times

The spider & spider web were attached to the inside of the card with a pop-up panel. I took black cardstock 4 ½” x 3”, scored at ½”, 1” & 4”. I used Stampin’ Seal + to adhere to the indie with the ½” & 1” section attached to the top.

Keeping with the same Deckled look, I used the saved the Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap from the card front & adhered it to a 4 ½” x 3 ½” piece of white cardstock. Then “BOO” from the Cottage Wreath stamp set stamped in Black, Pumpkin Pie & Gorgeous Grape.

The spider was adhered to the spider web with Multipurpose Glue to a 2″ piece of black twine, then adhered to the pop-up.

The front of the card was finished off with the Gorgeous Grape embellishments from the Glossy Dots Assortment.
