Christmas in July Blog Hop – Team Stamp It

The Christmas in July Blog Hop with Team Stamp It is a great way to get ideas for your Christmas cards!

The Greetings of the Season bundle was one of the Online Exclusive items I got in the pre-order. The stamps themselves cover a multitude of ways to express your holiday greetings. There are single word sentiments that allow you to put various words together to customize exactly what you want to say.

The dies from this bundle offer various sizes and shapes to make your own gift tags or use on a card front. The unique shapes allow for interesting ways to layer a gift tag.

The start of this card came from the Iconic Celebrations 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This pack of DSP has many different holiday designs in it, but I really liked the plaid in Cherry Cobbler & Mossy Meadow.

Using the largest outline die from the Thoughtful Wishes dies, I die cut twice, once in the Gold Foil and again in Mossy Meadow. The pieces that pop out were set aside. This card used the Gold Foil outline and the leaf pieces in Mossy Meadow, the others I will use on another card.

The Gold Foil die-cut was cut down into 2 pieces, one for the over & one for the inside.

Using the Greetings of the Season dies, I cut the largest tag in Cherry Cobbler. Then I stamped “Merry Christmas” from the Greetings of the Season stamps in VersaMark, sprinkled Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it using the Heat Tool.

After the embossing was done, I used the Multipurpose Glue to adhere the largest half of the Gold Foil piece and inserted Mossy Meadow leaves in the corresponding cut out.

The smaller half of the Gold Foil piece was adhered to white cardstock for the inside with the corresponding leaves of Mossy Meadow inserted.

To assemble the card, the plaid DSP & white cardstock were adhered to Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then adhered to the front & inside of the card. The tag was adhered with dimensionals at an angle and a white bow made from the Diagonal Trim added to cover the tag’s hole.

Embellishments were not added because I felt the Gold Foil was enough bling for this card.
