For the Christmas Stamp It Blog Hop I wanted a simple card that could be changed up with any DSP, die cuts and sentiments.
When I sat down to design the card for this Blog Hop, I checked the Stampin’ Up website to make sure what I had was in stock. All of the Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) I had was not available. I pulled out what I did have on hand, and I realized I had not used the Online Exclusive Tartan Foil Specialty DSP.
Then I decided I wanted a wreath, but only had the Cottage Wreath set. So I took out the Deckled Circle Dies and used the 3rd & 7th to smallest dies to create a wreath. The wreathe was run thru the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine using the Fern 3-D Embossing Folder to give it some texture.
I set out to use Lost Lagoon cardstock under the Tartan Foil DSP but it got lost. Since I was using a red bow, I cut a piece of Real Red cardstock to make it pop.
I finished the front by adding dimensionals to the wreath and the Lost Lagoon Faceted Gems.
A flap was added to the inside of the card as another dimension and a creative way to add the Gift Card Envelope to the card. To keep with the color scheme, I added a Real Red Deckled Rectangle to the flap and adhered the envelope. The Envelope was stamped with “Just for You” from Charming Sentiments and holly & berries from Cottage Wreath.
The inside of the card was stamped with a sentiment and the same holly & berries as the Gift Card Envelope in Pretty Peacock & Real Red.
